What Your O.A.R.S. Guides Are About To Do On Their “Summer Holidays”

October 7, 2008.

You know those incredible people who helped you enjoy an unforgettable whitewater rafting experience this past summer?  Yeah, those O.A.R.S. guides.  Well, now that you’re back at work or in school or having some other grand adventure travel experience,  your guides are heading home and/or to exotic locations around the globe.

Take for instance James Rodger, California/Oregon Regional Manager.  After he oversees the O.A.R.S. Whitewater Rafting Gear Sale on October 25th, he will be heading to Chile to guide trips on the Futaleufú River.

Ashley Scanlan, who guides for O.A.R.S. sister company, ROAM, is heading south as well.  (Coincidence?  I think not.)  Ashley will be guiding Galápagos trips.  (…after a North American summer spent guiding trips on Alaska’s Tatshinshini River, a 16-day Mystical Peru multi-sport adventure, the Klinaklini River in British Columbia’s grizzly country, as well as a host of others.)  Yeah, I want her life – I’m sure my dogs would understand.

I’m tracking down some other folks and will keep you posted, and I will be sure to get reports upon their return.
