O.A.R.S. Staff South Fork American Whitewater Rafting Party
September 17, 2007.Nothing like letting off a little steam at the end of the busy season. It was another glorious day on the South Fork. No matter where you’ve been in the world, no matter how many rivers you have run - the South Fork of the American River always brings extreme joy.

We had six boats of staff members, family and friends - some of whom had never been in a raft before. There were only a couple of involuntary swimmers the entire day… but you’ll have to ask our California Adventure Consultant - TYRA - about the details. She’s not only one of the most animated office members, but also a river guide extraordinaire… most of the time.

It is possible to look good in all situations…

Becky and Dylan…

River babes…

The lone ducky… Erik. He had a huge smile plastered to his face all day, except of course when he was concentrating. Only one spill, and that was in Hospital Bar. As a true kayaker, he held onto his ‘yak and his paddle. He didn’t even lose his hat.

The cool boat with The Boss, Unca John, Kim (our new Utah/Wyoming Adventure Consultant) with her sweetie. Clavey’s guiding.

Just back from the Rogue River Wilderness Gourmet trip 9/18-22. Chef Bob Anderson, his wife Mary (purveyor of fine baked desserts) and young James, his son & assistant all ROCK! Lindsay Gwin from Hatcher Winery provided the beverages and entertaining commentary and the OARS crew, led by Kate Wollney, did an outstanding job of getting us all downstream in style. G.I. Jane led the charge of guests and Patty Kelly traded in the kayak for the rod on Day 4 to lay claim to the biggest fish of the trip.
-- MindyGI think I speak for all of us when I say we had a blast!! Don’t miss Chef Bob’s next river engagement - it doesn’t get much better than this!
