Hello 2008…

January 16, 2008.

The Snow Water Equivalents (inches) for Central Sierra is at 96% percent of normal for this date — significantly better than it was just a month ago when we were at 24% of normal.  A series of powerful, cold storm systems brought some real precipitation to California in early January, along with heavy snowfall in the mountains.  Translation:  it’s looking to be a great California whitewater rafting season.
